Once your proof of concept or pilot has proven effective, it’s time to scale the solution across your customer’s business. You, the customer, solution architects, and technical teams work together to scale and deploy the tested solution or ingredient across an organization. In this course, we will explore ways to scale to a customer, as well as how you can continue to deliver even greater value building on what you’ve already done with your customer.
As you enter the Design phase, you will work with your customer to clearly define the business case and desired outcomes. The goals of the design phase are to work with the coalition to solve the challenges presented in the business case. Ensure you have the right partners and customer representatives to co-create the solution. Consider existing Intel solutions that may meet the need as-is or with some customization. If we haven't already encountered this use case, then you may also need to design a new solution. In this course, we will take a deeper dive into ways to effectively work with your customer to clearly define their business case and desired outcomes. We will also explore some helpful strategies that you can use to successfully complete a pilot or field test.
The Discover phase of ADDS is critically important. Through Discovery, you learn about your customers’ objectives and goals, the success and challenges with their critical initiatives, their problems and related impacts, possible opportunities, their desired future state and related business outcomes, and more. This is what allows you to fully qualify the opportunity and how you can best serve your customers in achieving their desired future state. In this course, we’ll dig deeper into how to conduct discovery with a customer through simulated conversations.
Through the Current and Future State Analysis, you can learn about your customers’ objectives and goals, their problems and related impacts, success, and challenges with their critical initiatives, their desired future state, impacts, and related business outcomes. This is what will give you the information you need to fully understand how you and the organization can best help your customer achieve their desired future state. In this tutorial, we will take a closer look at the steps that you can take to complete a Current and Future State Analysis with each of your customers.
Starting a journey within most customers' organization does not fall on one decision maker saying “yes.” Instead, it requires several stakeholders within the organization to arrive at a consensus and align with the objectives of the journey. This organizational alignment is essential to move a sales opportunity through the phases of ADDS. As a sales professional, you can facilitate this organizational alignment by developing a Coalition of Decision Makers that supports the opportunity that you are pursuing within your customer’s organization. In this course, you will learn strategies for building an effective coalition.
The Assess Phase is key to the consultative sales methodology. It’s all about setting up the right relationship with your customer to make discovery possible by showing up as problem solvers first. As the initial phase of ADDS, Assess can be the most challenging, like climbing a mountain. But once you have established trust with your customer, interacting with them throughout the rest of the sales process is like coasting downhill. In this course, you will interact with a sales professional to learn tips and strategies for thinking from your customer’s perspective, to understand how they view you and your organization, and for building trust with them.
This course defines the components of the ADDS sales methodology and the impact that digital transformation has had on Intel’s sales approach. It also summarizes the sales professional’s role in each phase of ADDS and how to make the shift from your current sales practice to the ADDS methodology.
