Cloud FinOps

This course focuses on controlling cloud costs by comparing centralized and individual account management and strategies to achieve the most cost savings from the cloud in addition to explaining the native tooling consoles from the major CSPs.

This course explains how the billing management and reporting tools work for Azure, AWS, and GCP. It covers invoice delivery, cost and usage reporting, native cost explorer and reporting, and examples of common reports.

This course gives an overview of cloud pricing models, including different cloud purchasing models, reservations and spot markets in the cloud, the differences between IaaS, PaaS, and FaaS cost considerations, and finally, native pricing estimators across the primary CSPs.

This course focuses on Cloud Service Provider (CSP) accounting structures, particularly the direct enterprise agreement between a CSP and a customer. It addresses linked accounts, organizational hierarchies, and accounting entitlements.

This course provides an overview of the changing economics of the cloud and the importance of cost modeling. It introduces the Cloud FinOps field, describes the personas involved in Cloud FinOps, and their unique concerns.
