Course Overview
This course covers the SASE Point of Presence (POP) reference architecture for vendor POPs. It describes the use case for a SASE POP, creating an Intel-centric POP architecture, and understanding how key Intel components fit together to enable a SASE POP. The course explores the design of a POP rack architecture, including performance objectives, platform performance requirements, data center constraints, and rack configuration. It also discusses the Intel components that make up the SASE POP, including the Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, Ethernet connectivity, and open-source software offerings. Additionally, the course covers base deployment models, extensions, and software contributions. By the end of the course, learners will be able to describe the use cases for a SASE POP, create an Intel-centric POP architecture, and understand how Intel components enable a SASE POP.
