Course Overview
This course covers cloud workload placement strategies, including business and technical considerations. Students will learn about the factors that drive workload placement decisions, such as executive-level mandates, cost, capabilities, and controls. The course also explores the 3 C's (cost, capabilities, and controls) and how they define business needs. Additionally, students will learn about technical considerations, including compute, network, storage, and licensing costs, as well as capabilities and controls. The course also touches on emerging technologies and the importance of upskilling talent pools. By the end of the course, students will be able to explain the business and technical considerations for workload placement and make informed decisions about where to place workloads.
