Course Overview
This course focuses on the importance of having a well-defined business vision and architecture strategy before moving workloads to the cloud. It covers key aspects such as workload identification and assessment, application data flow, software licensing issues, dependencies on other applications, and supportability. The course also discusses common strategies and methodologies for successful migration, including the 6 R's of migration (Retain, Replatform, Retire, Repurchase, Rehost, and Re-architect) and the importance of cloud cost and skills assessment. By the end of the course, learners will be able to identify the business vision and key performance indicators driving the decision to move to or from the cloud and follow a process for creating a well-informed business case for migration.
